Class 9 Vigyan - Parmanu aur Anu (Atoms and Molecules) ke Notes

Yeh notes aapko NCERT Class 9 Science ke Chapter 3 'Parmanu aur Anu' ko samajhne mein madad karenge. Is chapter mein hum janenge ki sabhi padarth kaise particles se bane hote hain. Parmanu vah smallest unit hai jo kisi element ke chemical properties ko maintain karta hai. Anu do ya do se zyada parmanuon ke combination se banta hai.

Important Topics is Chapter Mein:

  • Dalton's Atomic Theory
  • Parmanu (Atoms) aur unki symbols
  • Anu (Molecules) aur unke types
  • Atomic Mass aur Molecular Mass
  • Mole Concept aur Avogadro's Number
  • Chemical Formulae kaise likhein

1. Dalton's Atomic Theory

John Dalton ne 1808 mein atomic theory propose ki thi. Is theory ke main points ye hain:

  • Har element small particles (atoms) se bana hota hai jo aur divide nahi ho sakte.
  • Ek hi element ke sabhi parmanu identical hote hain (size, mass, properties).
  • Different elements ke parmanu different hote hain.
  • Parmanu destroy ya create nahi hote, sirf rearrange hote hain.
  • Compound banane ke liye atoms specific ratio mein combine hote hain.

2. Parmanu (Atoms) ki Symbols

Har element ka ek unique symbol hota hai. Jaise:

  • Hydrogen (H), Oxygen (O), Carbon (C), Nitrogen (N), Iron (Fe), Copper (Cu), Gold (Au).
  • Symbols usually element ke naam ke first letter ya first do letters se bane hote hain.
  • Kuch symbols Latin naam se aaye hain (jaise Sodium - Natrium - Na).

3. Anu (Molecules)

Molecule do ya do se zyada atoms ka group hota hai jo chemical bond se juda ho. Types:

  • Molecule of element: ek hi element ke atoms (e.g., O2, H2, N2).
  • Molecule of compound: different elements ke atoms (e.g., H2O, CO2, NH3).

Atomicity

Molecule mein kitne atoms hain - ise atomicity kehte hain. Jaise O2 (diatomic), O3 (triatomic), P4 (tetratomic), S8 (polyatomic).

4. Atomic Mass aur Molecular Mass

Atomic mass ek atom ka relative mass hota hai (atomic mass units mein). Carbon-12 ke mass ke 1/12 ko 1 amu maana jata hai.

Molecular mass = molecule mein sabhi atoms ke atomic mass ka sum. Example: H2O ka molecular mass = 2x1 + 16 = 18 amu.

5. Mole Concept aur Avogadro's Number

Ek mole ussi substance ki quantity hai jisme utne particles (atoms/molecules/ions) hote hain jitne 12 grams of carbon-12 mein atoms hote hain. Yeh number 6.022 x 10^23 hai (Avogadro's number).

  • 1 mole of any substance = 6.022 x 10^23 particles.
  • Molar mass = 1 mole ka mass (grams mein). Jaise H2O ka molar mass 18 g/mol.
  • Formula: Number of moles = given mass / molar mass.

6. Chemical Formulae Kaise Likhein

Chemical formula batata hai ki compound mein kaun kaun se elements hain aur kitne atoms hain. Valency ka concept important hai. Jaise:

  • Na⁺ aur Cl⁻ combine hokar NaCl banate hain (valency 1 each).
  • Mg⁺⁺ aur O⁻⁻ combine hokar MgO (valency 2 each).
  • Al⁺⁺⁺ aur O⁻⁻ combine hokar Al₂O₃ (cross multiply valency).

Kuch common polyatomic ions: NH₄⁺ (ammonium), OH⁻ (hydroxide), SO₄²⁻ (sulphate), CO₃²⁻ (carbonate). Inka use karke aap compounds ke formulae likh sakte hain. Jaise Ca(OH)₂, Na₂SO₄, Al₂(CO₃)₃.

7. Important Definitions in Short

  • Parmanu: Element ka smallest particle jisme us element ki chemical properties hoti hain.
  • Anu: Compound ka smallest particle jo independent exist kar sakta hai.
  • Atomic mass: Ek atom ka relative mass (amu mein).
  • Mole: 6.022×10²³ particles ki quantity.
  • Valency: Combine karne ki capacity.

Yeh notes aapko NCERT Class 9 Science ke Chapter 3 ke concepts clear karne mein help karenge. Aap in notes ko use karke revision kar sakte hain aur numerical problems bhi practice kar sakte hain. Yaad rakhein: practice se perfection aati hai!
